Spinning my wheels means I am not getting t...Jason,
Spinning my wheels means I am not getting to the desired goal. I want to change Holding and that isn't going to happen. So why continue? Scripture tells us to avoid endless debates like these. However, there are a good number of people who read my blog that are unaware that men like Holding are engaging in this behavior. Who would think that I would have to argue with any Christian that calling a fellow believer "stupid" is wrong. So I am exposing my readers to this view and showing from Scripture and plain reason how it is absurb. Very, very view people will disagree with me Jason. In fact, the only people I know who would disagree with my view are those who follow Holding blindly as if he were a modern day messiah. I am preparing a response to his paper on this matter and will post it in a few days. I am only four pages in and it is filled with non-sequiturs, and a host of other fallacies that I will expose. They are not hard to see and quite frankly, I was expecting a more convincing argument from Mr. Holding.Dr. Dnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4201628496305035793.post-84464951343025535102011-10-02T19:42:16.052-04:002011-10-02T19:42:16.052-04:00But you are still "spinning your wheels"...But you are still "spinning your wheels" with him. You have sent him e-mails and continue to write about him here on your blog. It would be much easier to do that in one place. You could also double post your comments here on Theologyweb. By doing as I suggest you would ensure that more people will see what you have to say.Jason_Ayers_28https://www.blogger.com/profile/10752779457112421501noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4201628496305035793.post-10136844270782505822011-10-01T16:37:03.640-04:002011-10-01T16:37:03.640-04:00I would love to engage in respective, stimulating ...I would love to engage in respective, stimulating dialogue. But JPH has a style that, quite frankly, I find repugnant and antithetical to Christian charity. He treats everyone that dares to disagree with him like they are an enemy of the faith. I have more productive things to do with my time than to spin my wheels with a man who is unteachable. I apologize Jason, but I just don't see the point. He can trash me all he wants. He is only hurting himself and those few disciples who are not sound enough in their thinking to be more critical of his remarks and methods.Dr. Dnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4201628496305035793.post-26844703219611656422011-09-30T16:56:00.536-04:002011-09-30T16:56:00.536-04:00Please consider coming back to Theologyweb. You can pin your opponent down on particular points and get them to answer.

Although I am mostly on J.P Holding's side with regard to the issue of challenge/riposte I am on your side more or less when it comes to Reformed theology. There are a few points which you might like to challenge J.P on there. It will be a lot easier for readers to follow the exchanges if both of you are both replying to each other on the theologyweb thread.

In Christ,

Jason Ayers (ukchristian28).Jason_Ayers_28https://www.blogger.com/profile/10752779457112421501noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4201628496305035793.post-19201547841488115582011-09-27T03:16:13.430-04:002011-09-27T03:16:13.430-04:00The Bible does not teach eternal punishment. How can it be Good News if it doesn't translate to the afterlife? He's a better Father than we are, right? He will still judge but He won't write people off forever.

1 Timothy 4:10- This is why we work hard and continue to struggle, for our hope is in the living God, who is the Savior of all people and particularly of all believers.

That's like saying track is for everyone, especially those who like to run. Water is for everyone, especially those who are thirsty. Salvation is for everyone, especially those who believe.

Titus 2:11- For the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people.

1 Peter 4:5-6- But remember that they will have to face God, who will judge everyone, both the living and the dead. That is why the Good News was preached to those who are now dead—so although they were destined to die like all people, they now live forever with God in the Spirit.

I'm glad God is more gracious than most Christians.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=yjRcO1Sm0HUwhatthehellbookhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02130667329818040999noreply@blogger.com
